Students colored their paper using a quick and uncontrolled technique with liquid watercolors and rubbing alcohol. Once the paper was finished, students took photos of themselves making a distorted/funny face. Their goal was to free hand their twisted faces and highlight the lighter areas of their face using white charcoal. Some students chose to use black charcoal and a color of their choice to show more contrast against the paper. Other students wanted the paper to enhance, and become a part of the shadows on their faces.
